The month of May marks Asian Heritage Month, a chance for all Canadians to come together to combat anti-Asian racism and discrimination. In Edmonton, several community members have come together to mark the month with a new campaign. Serena Mah with the campaign joined us on Global News Morning Edmonton with all the details.
Serena Mah Consulting Inc. prides itself on aligning with community partners by sharing their stories as they try to spark change in the world. Social advocacy is not just a buzzword. It's about diversity, equality, safety, and true inclusion while recognizing the intersectionality of class, race, gender, and ability. It's about empathy and compassion. It's a gift to do what you love and we appreciate your trust.
We acknowledge that we are on Treaty 6 territory, a traditional meeting grounds, gathering place and travelling route to the Cree, Saulteaux, Blackfoot, Métis, Dene and Nakota Sioux. We acknowledge the many First Nations, Métis and Inuit whose footsteps have marked these lands for centuries. We respect the privilege of creating, living, and playing on this beautiful space and we are grateful.

Ready. Set. READ! is Edmonton Public Library's early literacy program that sends books to children all over Edmonton from the day they are born to the time they reach 5 years old.
Every month, each child in the program receives a new, age-appropriate book, waiting for them in their mailbox. These books are theirs to keep, and together we build up their very own personal library.
Our team was delighted and thrilled to donate our time to this important project to make literacy more readily available. Consider donating to EPL's Ready. Set. READ! program this Giving Tuesday.
